Michael Allen Hanson, 60, of Indianapolis passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016.  Michael was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 14, 1956 to the late William Hanson and Frances (Rice) Simon.  He was a self employed construction worker.  Michael loved to fish and work on cars.  He worked on all his houses and always had a project going.  Most of all he loved being a grandpa and spending time with his grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Debra; his daughter, Jeanna Roof; his grandchildren Krystyanna, Shannon, Haley, Nikki, and Dena; his great-granddaughter Freyja; his siblings, John, Jerry, and Jim; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in passing by his son, Robert Roof; and siblings Bob and Sandy.

A memorial service for Michael will be held at a later date at the families convenience.
