Janel Jasmine Marie Scott, 31, of Indianapolis passed away August 22, 2016.  Janel was born in Indianapolis on August 2, 1985 to Darrin Scott and Benilde Gonzales.  She was a poet, she enjoyed writing poetry.  She also was a lover of music.

Janel is surived by her daughter, Jonnel; her siblings Chelsea, Darrin Jr., and Chris; her father, Darrin (Sherry) Scott; her mother, Benilde Gonzales; and close friend Dave Osbourne.  Janel is preceded in passing by her brothers Christopher and Augustine.

Burial for Janel will be Friday, September 2, 2016 at 11 AM at New Crown Cemetery.
