Colleen Dawn Gordy, 69, of Pittsboro passed away September 16, 2016.  Colleen was born in Davenport, Iowa on August 1, 1947 to the late Charles and Mary (O'Mahony) Lucas.  She ran a daycare for many years.  Colleen was a dog love and a homebody.  She liked sitting on her porch and visiting with her neighbors and friends.  She enjoyed fishing.  One of her favorite activities was to go "garaging" or Goodwilling with her friends.  Most of all Colleen loved her family, and she loved being a grandmother.  

Colleen is survived by her husband, James Gordy I, with whom she had just celebrated 49 years of marriage with; her children, Vickie and James; her grandchildren, Tyler, Shelby, Harley, and Chase; and 6 brothers and sisters.  She is preceded in passing by her parents.

Service for Colleen will be Monday, September 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
