Samuel Ray Emler, 72, passed away on August 3, 2016.  Samuel was born in Murray County, TN on June 22, 1944 to the late Oval and Gracie Emler.  Sam was a crane operator at Castle’s Scrap Yard for many years before retiring.  He was also a Golden Glove Boxer in his youth.  Sam loved jewelry and old cars.  His favorite pastime was fishing, specifically catfishing.  He once caught a 55lbs catfish. 

Samuel is survived by his wife, Pamela Larussa; his children Danny Ray Emler, Michael Ray Emler, Rachel Kay Hatcher-Emler, Jenni Wilbur Hernandez; his grandchildren, Dishonne, Ariana, Isabella, Rhianna, Hali, McKenzie, Aubree, Corena, Faith, Anisten, Rylan, Little Daniel Emler, and Gunner; and his sisters, Faye Miller, Edna Lynn Bouldin, Opera Pat Castner, and Jane Gray.  Samuel is preceded in passing by his brothers, Oval Emler Jr, Gary Wayne Emler, Jimmy Emler, Jack Emler, and Buddy Emler.

Service for Samuel will be at 7 pm, Friday, August 12, 2016 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 4 until the hour of service.
