Mary Annetta Shaw, 55, of Indianapolis passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017.  Mary was born on May 31, 1962 in Indianapolis to the late Joseph and Georgia Annetta (Robinson) Overman.  She worked for many years before quitting to be a caretaker for her aunt Shirley.  Mary's whole world was her family.  She was the mother of 10 kids, and a surrogate to many more.  She would take in anyone who needed help.  She was very loving.  She adored her grandchildren, of which she had 18.  There were always at least 4-5 grandchildren over at her house, and she enjoyed getting together with them to do activities.

Mary is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ralph Shaw; her children Ralph (Annie) Shaw III, Randy (Brandy) Shaw, Scott (Samantha) Shaw, Robert (Ashley) Shaw, Karrie Shaw, Richard Shaw, David (Danielle) Shaw, Kellie (David) Shaw, Mary (Shawn) Shaw, and June Shaw; her 18 grandchildren; her siblings Joseph Overman and Michael Overman; her aunt Shirley Lowe; and her cousins Jimmy and Chris and a second cousin Sis.  In addition to her parents Mary is preceded in passing by her siblings Randy Overman and Lucille Overman.

Service for Mary will be 11am Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 4 PM - 8 PM Tuesday, February 28, 2017.  Burial will follow the funeral at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
