Wendy Shan Cummins-Frith

Wendy Shan Cummins-Frith, 43, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 25, 2019.

Wendy was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 22, 1975 to Maurice T and Betty J (Rice) Frith.  She was a true child of the 70's, Wendy love the Grateful Dead and was a hippy.  She hated wearing socks and shoes and went barefoot whenever she could.  She enjoyed drum circles, especially playing the bongos. She loved festivals, music or otherwise.  She was a fan of the Beatles and the Opera.   She was spunky, eclectic, and always did her own thing.  She loved to laugh, sometimes she would laugh so hard her teeth would come out her mouth.  She had a good sense of (penis) humor, but was also easily pranked. Wendy loved Jesus and was a very spiritual person.  

Wendy had a huge zest for life, she loved living.  She had a lot of love to give, and she wasn't shy about showering others with that love.  She gave the best bear hugs and hand massages.  She adopted just about everyone she met, and was everyone's mama.  She was the Keeper of All Secrets, you could trust her to always keep your confidence.  Her favorite thing in the world was being a grandmother.  Her grandbabies were the light of her life, and they made her want to be the best version of herself she could be.  She was more than an aunt and mother to everyone, she was the cool sidekick and friend who taught everyone how to have fun, even if it meant sneaking when told no. 

Wendy is survived by her children Christan, Adriaunna, and Opal; her wife Karen; her grandchildren Mya Grace, Iris Nova, and Oliver Liam; two siblings; many nieces and nephews; and her fur grandchildren Willow, Boo, Abra, and Critter.

Wendy is preceded in passing by her son Twan; her parents, Maurice and Betty Frith; and two siblings.

Services for Wendy will be 7:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2019 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the hour of service.
