Warren Gentry Brown, known to many as “Brown,” 84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on January 22nd, 2026.
Brown was born on November 21, 1941, in Indianapolis. Born to Viola Brown and raised by his aunt, Flossie Relford. He proudly served his country as a veteran and spent many years giving back to his community as a youth coach with Indy Parks, where he made a lasting impact on countless young lives.
Known for his kind, generous, and dependable nature, Warren was someone others could always count on. He enjoyed watching sports with family, staying current on the news, and relaxing with his favorite television programs. He found joy in simple routines and the comfort of home.
Brown was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Brown; his aunt, Flossie Relford; his sisters, Shirley Relford and Phyllis Dinkins; and his brother, William Relford.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Chelsea Brown; his brother, Robert Relford; and many nieces and nephews who will remember him with love and gratitude.
Brown will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his steady presence and generous spirit will be remembered always.
