Wannis W. Stinson, 54, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on October 7th, 2024 at Methodist Hospital after a long battle with heart issues.
He was born in Indianapolis, IN, on September 24th, 1970, son of the late Travis Stinson & Beverly Lake. He is survived by his spouse; Elizabeth Irene Spall, & his children; Travis James, Sabrina Kathleen, Matthew Tyler, Devon Lee Thomas & Bethany Danielle Stinson. Wannis had 3 siblings; Lucinda, Jason & "little" Wannis Stinson. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren; Alijah James, Autumn Rayne, Lucinda Irene & Henry Wannis Stinson.
A recognized fisherman & avid hunter, "Big Wanni" competed in tournaments & catalogued the Big Game Hunter magazines. He was big on catfish & carp fishing, along with deer & squirrel hunting.
He was a licensed automotive technician, graduating from Lincoln Tech University. A true handyman, Wannis could tackle just about any problems a vehicle could throw at him.
He was a lifelong Indianapolis Colts fan & his favorite player was Payton Manning.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, October 14th at Fountain Square Mortuary, 1420 Prospect Street, located in Indianapolis, IN. Family & friends are welcome to a gathering with refreshments available immediately following the service. Parking is available in the lot attached.
