Wanda Lee Karol, 78, of Indianapolis, who hailed from West Virginia, left this world on March 5, 2024. Born on December 25, 1945, in Nallen, West Virginia, to Juanita and James Childers, Wanda's journey was marked by her vibrant personality and unwavering love for her family.
For many years, Wanda dedicated herself to the upkeep of the zoo and later found fulfillment in her role at Trinity Church until her retirement. Known for her candidness and strong-willed nature, she was not one to shy away from expressing her opinions or doing things her way.
In her younger days, Wanda found joy in dancing and shared her infectious sense of humor with those around her. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she had a heart capable of profound love. As a mother, she poured her love and care into her daughters. With the arrival of her grandchildren, she discovered a newfound depth of love, and the addition of great-grandchildren brought her immeasurable joy.
Wanda's greatest pleasure in life was the time spent with her family, treasuring every moment together. Her absence leaves a void in their hearts, a testament to the profound impact she had on those she loved. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Kim & Steve, Paula, Darla & Scott Jensen, and Lisa, grandchildren Jennifer, Brian Jensen, and Jason, great-grandchildren Jack, Audrey, Keeley, and Lucian, siblings, Terry, James, Mark, and Yvonne, and many nieces, and nephews. She is reunited in passing with her beloved parents.
