Vickie Lynn (Roberts) Goins

Vickie Lynn Goins, 75, of Indianapolis, formerly of Orange County, IN, passed away on April 11, 2023.

Vickie was born in Orange County, IN on April 15, 1947, to Clinton and Ella (Garloch) Roberts.  Her family was the most important thing to her and she dedicated her life to them.  She had a special soft spot for children and became a mother to many outside of her own.  Vickie had a way that made every one feel special and loved. She could list all of her numerous grandchildren and greats, along with all their birthdays.

In her spare time Vickie loved her crosswords and her youtube videos.  She especially loved Southern Gospel Music on youtube.  She had a strong faith that never waivered throughout her life. She was Pentecostal by faith, but was currently attending New Testament Christian Church.  

Vickie is survived by her children Shirla Cavendish-Smith, Connie Sue Fox, Raymond Lee Goins III, Victoria Lynnette Cope, James Devon Goins, David William Joseph Goins, James Edward Goins, and Jessica Ann Habig; her sister Betty Marie Roberts; 23 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Vickie is preceded in passing by her husband Raymond Lee Goins Jr; her parents Clinton and Ella Roberts; her son Kevin Ray Goins; her daughter Bonnie Lou; and 4 siblings.

Services for Vickie will be 2 PM, Friday, April 14, 2023 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow services at Washington Park East.
