Vance O McClellan

Vance O. McClellan, born on September 14, 1953, passed away on June 10, 2024. He was the beloved son of Dale and Catherine (Walker) McClellan.

A natural-born mechanic, Vance learned everything he knew from his father. His time spent at the bar with friends, enjoying a Budweiser and a joint, were among his favorite. Vance served as an officer at the Moose Lodge in Beech Grove. He built many more strong friendships. His passions in his earlier days included: canoe trips, coaching his daughter's softball team, and deer hunting.

Known for his stubbornness, Vance could outlast a mule. In his wilder days, he earned the nickname "The Monk" for his fierce demeanor. Yet he could be incredibly charming when it suited him, especially when it came to making friends. 

Vance is survived by his son, Zachary, and his girlfriend, Ashley; his daughter, Serena and her husband Dave; his grandchildren, Daniel, Conner, and Shyann; and his siblings, Erma, Cheyavone, and Larry. He also leaves behind his stepchildren Kim and Dave,  many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who became family. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Catherine McKellen; his beloved wife, Linda McClellan; and his brother Dave.
