Teresa Lane Riggles, 68, of Indianapolis, formerly of Franklin, IN, passed away on October 13, 2024.
Born on January 7, 1956, in Franklin, IN, Teresa was the daughter of Norman Wayne Riggles Sr. and Virginia Claudette (Wheatcraft) Watts. She spent many years working as a manager at Burger King before retiring. Teresa had a love for games, whether it was playing on her phone, enjoying a night of BINGO, or taking trips to the casino—she was always up for a good time. A natural collector, Teresa found joy in uncovering treasures everywhere. Though new trends came and went, she stayed true to her love of the classics, especially her beloved John Wayne, Elvis Presley, and Chuck Norris.
Teresa had a fierce stubbornness that defined her. If anyone tried to change her mind, they quickly realized it was an uphill battle. Her stubborn streak touched every aspect of her life, fueling her tenacity and refusal to give up, no matter the odds. Above all, Teresa cherished her time at home, preferring the peace of being with her family over anything else.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Wilson, Bobby Wagner (Jeremy Teague), Charles Riggles, Michael Riggles, and Lisa Ovivion; her grandchildren, Kaillel Smith and Olivia Smith; her siblings, Lester Combs, Billy Riggles, and Rebel Watts; her stepmother, Lydia Riggles; and several nieces and nephews.
Teresa was preceded in death by her sons Kevin Burks and Infant Boy; her father, Norman Riggles Sr.; her mother, Virginia Wheatcraft; her siblings, Danny Combs, and Norman Riggles; her nephew, Mason; and her loyal dog, Misty, who was always by her side.
