**Tammy Kay Edwards**, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 3, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Tammy was born on February 9, 1968, in Indianapolis, IN, to Donald “Dangerous Don and the Batman” and Linda Kay (Wethington) Stephens.
Tammy was known for her witty, sarcastic sense of humor, which she kept until the end. She faced her diagnosis with unwavering strength and determination, never letting it dampen her spirit. Stubborn and resolute, Tammy lived life on her own terms—if she didn’t want to do something, no one could convince her otherwise.
A lifelong Indiana resident, Tammy was a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, defying her hometown loyalty. Her love for Christmas was unmatched; she went all out every year, from decorating to trying to watch every Christmas movie ever made and baking nonstop. Tammy made sure the holiday season was memorable for everyone around her. More than anything, Tammy loved being a grandma and cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Stephanie, Steven, Mariah, and Brianna; her grandchildren Jaxson, Skyla, Donnie, and Aubreigh; and many extended family members and friends. Tammy is preceded in passing by her parents, Don and Linda Stephens; her daughter Jennifer; and her granddaughter Kenna.
A memorial service for Tammy will be held at 5 PM on Sunday, September 29, at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services, with visitation starting at 2 PM until the time of the service.
