Steven "Steve" Lawrence Hatten

Steven "Steve" Lawrence Hatten, 53, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on November 24, 2022.

Steve, or "Uncle" as most of the kids in the family called him, was born on October 2, 1969 to Odos Hatten Jr and Cleta (Curry) Hatten in Pheonix, AZ. Steve was a hard worker, he was a part of the Local Labor Union 120 and worked with TBM machine to clean out the White River.  You couldn't ask for a better man to have on the job.  He was smart and a talented welder.  Steve had a gift to always make people laugh. Although he led a private life, he was an amazing family member. He was always there when you needed him, and he took care of his people.  He always looked out for his sisters and he was the bossiest of the lot growing up, taking it upon himself to keep them safe.

Steve is survived by his mother Cleta Hatten; his sisters Lori (Lenny) and Dawn; nieces Meranda and Courtney; nephews Mark and Steven; great-niece Jaila; godchildren Nichole and Nicky; best friends Ronnie and Connie; and several extended family members and friends.

Steve is preceded in passing by his dad Odos Hatten Jr; and his best friend Nick.

Services for Steve will be 12PM, Noon, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the hour of service.
