Steven “Stevie” Thomas Brown Jr., 54, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 28, 2024. Born on May 11, 1970, in Indianapolis, IN, Stevie entered this world ready to leave an impression, the son of Steven Brown Sr. and Linda (Dooley) Whitney.
Stevie was a Triple OG, a Legend in the streets; well protected and well respected. He was the sort of man that made everyone take a second look and lived with a heart as big as his spirit. A hard worker, he was a talented framer in building homes. He could pick up a guitar and make it sing, and his love for music was just as boundless as his devotion to his favorite team, the Raiders. He was very charming when he wanted to be, and many found him irresistible.
Stevie was on a journey to better himself, turning his life around. He was always smiling, he never let circumstances get him down. He would take the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet, even if it meant he went barefoot; he was never afraid to jump into the trenches when others needed him most. He had a good soul and a beautiful heart.
Stevie was all about his family, a true ride-or-die. His children were the light of his life and he had boundless love for them. He was an exceptional brother and the family mediator when his sisters were being crazy; he had a magic touch to bring everyone together. Kids adored him, and they knew he always had a stash of candy at the ready to share.
Taken too soon, Stevie’s absence will be deeply felt. He is survived by his children, Stephanie, Laci, and Steven III; his siblings Kim, Michelle (Donny), Teresa, and Carl; grandchildren Kori, Kamri, Krew, Danielle , Lilly, and Savannah; his close friend and steadfast supporter, Charlie; and the mothers of his children, Michelle Collins and Angel Williams; and many extended family members and friends.
Stevie is preceded in passing by his father Steven Brown Sr; his mother Linda Whitney; and his brother in law Jack Brandon.
Stevie’s loss hits hard. He was a real one, a man you could count on, and he’ll be missed by everyone who knew him.
