Stephen Ovid McGill

Stephen O. McGill, 75, of New Whiteland passed away on November 20, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis.  Steve was born on June 8, 1950, in Indianapolis to Ovid and the late Mary Anne (Loy) McGill.  Stephen was very involved in setting up Dart tournaments at many of the bars around the Indianapolis area.  He served as the salesman and repairman for the equipment he installed.  His work led to many years of enjoyment for people who attended the tournaments he hosted. In his free time, he enjoyed street stock racing with his son, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and spending time with his friends at the pub.  Steve’s greatest joy was his grandchildren and how proud he was of each one of them.

Steve is survived by his children: Stephen McGill, Jr., Sinnamon McGill and Scott McGill; siblings: Micki Carter, Jane Wycoff, Ronald McGill, Linda Brown and Cheryl Scott; grandchildren: Stevie McGill, III, Dakota Goble, Karter Goble and Aleeah Clark.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ovid and Hazel Louise (Fish) McGill, birth mother, Mary Anne; daughter, Angela McGill, sister, Brenda Poole and grandson, Kyle Goble.
