Stanley Lee Purdy

Stanley "Red" L Purdy, 61, of Fountain Square, passed away on August 14, 2018.

Stanley was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 1, 1956 to Daniel and Dola (Gribbins) Purdy.  He fancied himself a landscaper and often liked gifting people flowers and plants he pulled.  He enjoyed the outdoors.  He was always friendly and cheerful, never knowing a stranger.  He never let bad circumstances get him down. Stanley was a Fountain Square Local and he adored his community and the people in it.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Stanley is survived by his siblings Charlotte, Lois, Danny, Jimmy, and Sherry; his nieces and nephews Kimberly, Katherine, Allen, Stephanie, Donna, Leroy, Kenny, Danny, Tammy, Jerry, David, Freddy, Cindi, Dell, Veronica, Tony, Everett, and Karen; many great-nieces and nephews; many extended family; many friends; and he loved them all fiercely. 

Stanley is preceded in passing by his parents, Daniel and Dola Purdy.
