Shirley Ann Phillips, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 1, 2020.
Shirley was born on January 15, 1953, in Indianapolis, IN to Thomas and Wanda May (Bolin) Ash. She worked several bartending jobs over her life, always around Fountain Square, her stomping grounds. Places like Woodcutters, DJs, and Art and Keys. She had a wonderful voice and killed it at karaoke. Shopping was Shirley's favorite past time, especially clothes. She was forever after her sister Karen to get her more outfits. Shirley was always loud, outgoing, and the life of the party. She had a lot of love to give, and gave it freely to those she cared about. She adored her grandchildren and spending time with them.
Shirley is survived by her son, Kenny Stinson; her grandchildren Haley, Corey, and Brandon; her sister Karen; and many cousins, friends, and extended family members.
Shirley is preceded in passing by her husband John "Big Man" Phillips; her parents Thomas and Wanda Ash; and her brother John Ash.
