Sherry Michelle Ferrell, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 8, 2023. She was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 23, 1960, to Lonnie and Juanita (Hewitt) Cooper. Sherry's life was filled with a deep love for family, faith, and adventure, and her memory will forever shine bright in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Sherry's passion for life was evident in her diverse interests. She was an avid reader, finding joy in the world of literature. Music held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in its melodies. Among her favorite creatures were hummingbirds, and she cherished their presence as a symbol of beauty and grace.
Her adventurous spirit knew no bounds, and she was always up for trying new experiences. Sherry found immense happiness in spending time with her family, particularly her beloved sisters, and hunting for treasures at garage sales. Family was at the center of her world, and her love and devotion to them were unwavering.
Sherry's strong faith was a guiding light in her life, and she found solace and strength in her church community. Today, she is reunited with her soulmate, Kenneth Ferrell, in the heavenly embrace of eternal love.
Sherry is survived by her daughter Tresa (CJ) Flake; grandchildren Courtney, Dustin, Isaac, and Gage; her great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Liam, Aurora, and Kaia; her siblings Debra Collins, Jimmy Jaeger, and Denise Moore; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She is preceded in passing by her parents, Lonnie and Juanita Cooper; her husband Kenneth Ferrell; and her brothers Paul Jaeger and George Hewitt.
Sherry's warmth, kindness, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she shared with those around her. May her memory bring comfort and solace during this time of grief.
