Shawn Matthew Barnett

Shawn Matthew Barnett, 23, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 12, 2023.

Shawn was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 11, 1999 to James Barnett and Betty Strandberg.  Shawn was a great person. He was smart and caring with a great smile.  He loved traveling and experiencing new things. He had such a passion for life, and he was brimming with it. 

Shawn is survived by his father James; his siblings Jewel, Gabe, James, Jodena, Destiny, Marisa, Larry, and Kevin; his grandparents Denise and Jim Carr, Monnie and Vanessa Carr; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, including Mike and Kayla Strandberg whom helped raise him; and friends.

Shawn is preceded in passing by his mother Betty Strandberg; his stepdad Larry Moorman; and his grandparents Vickie and James Barnett.

Services for Shawn will be 1 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service.
