Scott Riley Obituary

Scott Riley, born on June 4, 1967, passed away on January 22, 2024, leaving behind memories of joy and laughter. He was the son of Charles William Riley and grew up with a sister, Carrie Lee Riley, and a brother, Max Joseph Riley.

Scott had a love for baseball since his youth, often playing with his sister and enjoying the camaraderie of the game. He attended Crispus Attucks High School, but Twin Airre was home to him, all of his friends being from there or in Fountain Square.  He was a free spirit that lived life on his own terms.

Music was a significant part of Scott's life, and he found solace in playing the guitar. His melodies were a reflection of his innermost emotions, bringing comfort to those around him.

Known for his quick wit and humor, Scott had a knack for making others laugh. Despite facing his own struggles, he approached life with resilience and determination.

Scott is survived by his daughter, Jessica Maylee Shupinky; sister Carrie Riley; brother Max “Joe” Riley; stepsister Lori Stout and Angela Sizemore; and nieces, a nephew, and several cousins.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Charles William Riley, his grandfather, Max Riley, his grandmother, Vivian Anderson; stepmom Sandra Lee Rode-Robinson; stepbrothers Gregory Robinson and Kenny Robinson; and a niece Tierra Michael.

Scott Riley will be remembered for his down-to-earth nature, his love for sports and music, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love.
