Sandy Kay Griffin, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 3, 2021.
Sandy was born in Dayton, OH on November 19, 1956 to Oscar Bozarth and Erma (Williams) Newby.
Her family was everything and she dedicated her life to being a homemaker for them. She was the glue that held everyone together. She was extremely loyal, and always went to bat for those she cared about, regardless of what they were accused of. She adored her grandkids and always wanted to help, especially in the kitchen, despite not being known for her cooking skills.
Bingo was her favorite hobby and she played as often as she could. Sandy was happiest outside, whether camping and fishing with the love of her life Jerry or exercising her green thumb in her flower gardens at home, she was content. Her love of nature also extended to animals, and definitely to cats.
Sandy is survived by the love of her life Jerry Hood; her children, Deena (Justin Sr) Knight, Johnathan Gregg, Martin Griffin, and Crystal Griffin; her stepdaughter Tabatha (Jeff) Thorne; her grandchildren Jessica, Deena, Martin, Stephanie, Luis, Johnna, Delaila, Braden, John Jr, Justin Jr, Brandyce, Cameron, and Caidence; her sisters Patricia Foster and Wanda Balvin; her brother Mitchell Bozarth; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Sandy is preceded in passing by her mother Erma Newby; her father Oscar Bozarth; and her brother Mike Bozarth.
