Sandra L Ashley

Sandra L. Ashley of Greenfield, Indiana, left an extraordinary legacy of love, faith, and devotion on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving children. 

Sandra was born on September 8, 1959, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to JoAnn and Elmer (Mac) McDowell, Sandy's life was a shining testament to her unwavering faith and Christian values. Her remarkable 20-year tenure as an Admissions Coordinator at Community Hospitals showcased her compassion, dedication, and commitment to serving others. 

Sandy's love for her family knew no bounds, and she cherished every moment as a mother, wife, and Nana. She was married to Mike on November 7, 1987, and their beautiful union flourished for 40 incredible years. 

Sandy's memory will be treasured by her husband, Michael Ashley; children Chad McDowell, Stefanie (Uriah) Binion, Kristina Ashley; Brother John McDowell ,  and Sister Ruth Powers; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, JoAnn and Elmer (Mac) McDowell; sister, Debra Buchanan; and nephew, Gary Koenig.

A Celebration of Life will be determined to honor her remarkable life and legacy at a later time.
