Rosemary "Rose" Marie Taylor, 75, of Indianapolis, formerly of Beech Grove, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at home, in the loving arms of her family.
Rose was born in Beech Grove on May 6, 1945 to Morris and Ruby Lee Collins. Rose devoted her life to her family, she always stayed home to care for them. Her family was the most important thing, and she was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt she could be. She loved everyone fiercely and was willing to help anyone out. Rose was the type of person to give you the shirt off her back if she knew you needed it. Her heart was made of gold.
Rose was brave, in her younger years she "hobo traveled" and hopped trains to travel all over. Her wanderlust never went away, and as she got older her love of travel never diminished. She enjoyed going to Florida, and traveling around in semis with her husband. She was never one to sit still, she always had to do something.
While stuck in Indiana, Rose liked to play bingo, go to the zoo, the races, or any flea markets.
Rose is survived by her husband, Larry Taylor; her children Theresa, Linda, Bonnie, Rosie, Billy, Jeff, and Charles Gary; her brother Jesse Collins; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Rose is preceded in passing by her parents Morris and Ruby Collins; first husband of 40 years and father of her children Charles Delbert Key; her daughter Peggy; her son George; and her sisters Alice, Betty, and Judy; and her brother Shorty.
Funeral Services for Rose will be 12 PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM, Tuesday, March 2, at the funeral home. Burial will follow Wednesday's services at New Crown Cemetery.
