Ronald "Ronnie" Dale Hege, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 18, 2024. Born to Frank and Ida (Bryant) Hege, Ronnie found early fame as "Ronnie Haig" a singer, songwriter and great guitarist. He toured with some major acts of that time and enjoyed great popularity in the U.S. and later in many countries abroad. He was remembered and honored for his musical talent by several entertainment organizations in later years...which meant a great deal to him.
When the time came, Ronnie put his music career aside to serve his country as a Medic in Vietnam, showing his dedication courage and love for his country. After his service, he transitioned to a career in sales, where his personable nature and charisma made him a success; he could sell sand in the desert. He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and spending time outdoors working in his backyard.
Ronnie was a man of unwavering faith. Over the years, he led worship music in various churches, using his gifts to honor the Lord. His faith shaped his life, and he remained steadfast in his belief throughout the years.
Beyond his public life, Ronnie was a great son, father, brother, uncle, friend, and husband. He valued his relationships and loved his family deeply.
