Roger Dale Purvis, 69, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 13, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis, IN, on March 1, 1954, to Fredrick Alanzo and Geneva Mae (Johnson) Purvis. Roger was a man of simple pleasures, a loving heart, and a great sense of humor. His memory will forever remain a cherished part of the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Roger had a few favorite indulgences in life that brought him immense joy. White Castle and Pepsi were staples in his life, offering him comfort and satisfaction. He had a deep appreciation for the timeless charisma of icons like Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe. Roger also had a passion for Harley Davidsons, finding freedom in the open road.
One of Roger's most endearing qualities was his great sense of humor and a mischievous streak that made him a delight to be around. He had a knack for brightening up any room with his infectious laughter and playful spirit. Roger thrived in the company of others and cherished every moment spent with family and friends.
He was dearly loved by his family, and in turn, he loved them with all his heart. Roger's sister, Freda, held a special place in his life, and he adored his niece, Geneva, and great-niece, Irene (Albert), along with great-nephews William, Richard, and Albert. His son, Nick, was a source of pride and love that ran deep.
