Robert "Bob" Knorr, 64, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.
Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 20, 1955 to Nicholas and Rosa Gertrude (Froman) Knorr. Bob was a fun guy. He liked to travel, and take his daughters to carnivals and festivals. He was a jokester, and he always seemed to be talking. He never knew a stranger and was often the life of a party. He enjoyed singing - Classics like Elvis and gospel music - and also dancing. He was also into Bluegrass and Rock n Roll. He liked fishing, and anything to do with cars, be it racing, shows, or working on them. He worked as security for the race track for 23 years as well. Bald Eagles were his favorite birds, and he was prone to buying anything that featured them, especially shirts and belt buckles.
Bob was easy to love, and he loved easily. His daughters were his pride and joy, and then his grandchildren came along. He adored all of them, never playing favorites. His family was important and he wanted them to know it.
Bob is survived by his daughters Lisa and Sarah; his grandchildren Alivia, Alicia, Taylor, Jayda, Jaylen, and Anna; his sisters-in-law Jane Knorr and Terry March; and many nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceded in passing by his parents, Nicholas and Gertrude Knorr; his grandson Jermaine; his siblings Nicholas, Helen K, Bonita, and Donald; and his brothers-in-law Everett Sorley and Steven Westfall.
Services for Bob are 2 PM ,Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service.
