Robert "Bob" Buster Gilley Sr

Robert "Bob" Buster Gilley Sr, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019.

Bob was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 8, 1959 to Paul Gilley Sr and Donna Diane Hess.  Bob always had a very strong work ethic, often working multiple jobs at once.  He did Maintenance with Head Start for over 30 years, and he loved working there.  Bob was a beverage person, he always liked his tea, sweet while young, unsweetened as he got older, but either way, it better have a lemon in it.  He always started his day with at least two cups of coffee.  He enjoyed AMC and cop shows, as well as the Pacers and the Colts. 

Bob was a sweats and T-shirt kind of guy, he preferred comfort.  He was a good person, nice to everyone, but was never one to take any lip.  He was a dedicated husband and father, the true definition of a man.  He took his responsibilities seriously. He loved being with his grandchild Hailey, whom he raised.  He will be missed.

Bob is survived by his children Barbara Gilley, Jennifer Morris, Amanda Crouse, and Robert Gilley Jr; his siblings Paul Jr, William Paul, Diane, Patty, Bonnie, Shem, Addy, Herby, and Cindy; the mother of his children Linda Reeves, his cat Lola; his 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

Bob is preceded in passing by his parents, Paul Gilly Sr and Diane Hess.

A Memorial Service for Bob will be 4:00 PM, Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
