Robert "Bob" Edward Cain II, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 9, 2022.
Bob was born on September 2, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN to Robert Edward Cain I and Gene (Minniear) Cain. He graduated high school from North Liberty and worked as a Sales Director at Pitney Bowes for many years before retiring. Bob had a great work ethic and was a wonderful boss. He was good to his workers and down to Earth, connecting with them easily and even years later they had only gracious things to say about him. He was never one to complain and always made the best of any situation life handed to him. After the loss of his wife Teresa Cain he renewed his efforts to being devoted to his children, and then his grandchildren when they came along. His family was his whole world and he made sure they knew how much he loved them.
Bob loved sports, especially golf. Both playing and watching. He was funny, with a great smile, and a talent for making people laugh. He was always happy. Bob was caring with a heart of gold, he was the sort of fellow who was always there for anyone who needed him, and willing to give the shirt off his back. He was very much beloved, and he will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his children Mark (Karen Gustafson-Cain) Cain and Hilary Cain; his grandchildren Jack Cain, Meg Cain, Aiden Pierce, and Julian McIntosh; his best friends Ronald Porter and Dennis Mack; and his many nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceded in passing by his parents Robert and Gene Cain; his wife Teresa (Wheat) Cain; and his 4 sisters.
