Robert Craig Ball, 35, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 20, 2025.
Craig was born in Indianapolis on November 26, 1989, to Danny Ball and Barbara “Barbie” Parks. Incredibly intelligent, especially when it came to science, Craig won Best in State two years in a row—an achievement that won him a scholarship in HVAC. He had a curious mind and a deep love for music, especially Hip Hop and R&B, with Jelly Roll being his favorite artist.
He had a strong will and once he made up his mind, there was no changing it. Along with that came patience and wisdom, especially during late-night conversations with his family. He loved playing chess with his dad, and despite his own quiet strength, he always tried to bring people together. Craig was the peacemaker of the family, which felt even more special considering he was related to both the Hatfields and the McCoys.
Craig had a big heart—he was loving, caring, and always fun to be around. His smile could light up a room, and he had a natural way of making others feel good just by being near. He enjoyed the demolition side of construction work and tattooing was a hobby he took pride in.
Craig was a man of faith. He read the Bible, was baptized, and lived with a quiet spirituality that gave him strength. Though he was taken far too soon, we take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in Heaven.
He is survived by his mother, Barbie Parks; his father, Danny (Lori Gregson) Ball; siblings Amanda, Kenya, Mark, and Brianna; nieces and nephews Herbretta, Jackson Ray, Samuel, Kaylynn, Joanna, Drea, Grayson, and Jade; great-niece Zendaya; Aunt Theresa; and many extended family members and friends.
