Robbie (Blakley) Kakadelis

Robbie Kakadelis, 78, of Indianapolis, formerly of Burkesville, KY, passed away on April 9, 2021.

Robbie was born in Burkesville, KY, on May 8, 1942 to Ress and Clyde (Melton) Blakley. She worked in a factory until she retired.  Robbie was a tough woman, but she always took care of her kids.  They always had what they wanted.  As a single mom, she had a fantastic work ethic and worked hard to provide for her family. Her family was always very important to her, and she moved to Indiana to be closer with them.  Robbie loved going to the casino to play the slots, and yellow roses were her favorite flowers. 

Robbie is survived by her partner Philip Cypher, called Pops by her family, of 36 years; her children Mark (Catherine) Abney Sr and "Susie" Debra Hoetjes; her grandchildren Mark Jr, Jennifer, Amanda, Kiri, Brandi, and Eric; her great-grandchildren Haleigh, Mariah, Juliannah, Mark, Jasper, Luke Jr, Sophia, Samantha, Christopher, and Kenzie; her siblings Lewis and Pebblene; her best friend Shirley Williams; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Robbie is preceded in passing by her parents Ress and Clyde Blakley; and her siblings Payne, Russell, Mack, Hillard, and Orvilla.

Services for Robbie will be 1 PM, April 15, 2021 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
