The world lost one of its own on January 25, 2024, as Rebecca "Becky" Ann Williams, 60, of Indianapolis, departed this realm. Born on April 14, 1963, to Arthur Paul and Carolyn Agnes (Stockes) Haley, she was certainly a unique creation—so unique that even God decided to break the mold right after her birth.
Becky had an unconventional fondness for wrestling, and although she loved all wrestlers, Cody Rhodes and Bobo Brazil ranked as her favorites, the latter being a family friend. Known for her unparalleled ability to be the biggest grouch when things didn't go her way, Becky was, undoubtedly, a delightful paradox—a wonderful person with a generous serving of spice.
Unapologetically herself, whether you appreciated it or not, Becky was someone you'd want on your side, if only for the sake of witnessing her fiercely protective nature towards her loved ones. At a mere 80 pounds, she managed to pack an impressive punch of pure concentrated attitude. She loved all of her family, even if they made her mad.
Survived by daughters Joanna (Bobby) Crabtree and Melissa (Joe Fields) Williams; grandchildren Ashley Crabtree, Cynthia Williams, Carolyn Winkler, and Morgan Winkler; and great-grandchildren Kloi and Jeremy, Becky also leaves behind her sister Lavone Mernado, as well as a plethora of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In her passing, Becky rejoins her parents, husband Steve Williams, and seven siblings, leaving behind a legacy of memories that some may find more flavorful than others. May she find her place in the afterlife, and may those left behind find solace in the uniqueness that was Rebecca "Becky" Ann Williams.
