Ramona "Monie" Ann Clark

Ramona “Monie” Ann Clark, 68, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 3, 2025.
Monie was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 5, 1957 to Farrell and Shirley Jefferies Clark.

Monie was a woman who was hard to pin down. She had a love for vacuuming that became a running joke in the family, and she could often be found relaxing while watching TikToks. She enjoyed her Marlboros and Lifetime movies, and she was always up for BINGO or a trip to the casino.

She worked for 30 years at Lane Bryant, a job she loved and took pride in until she retired. Monie had a thing for a good pair of earrings, and her music taste was as eclectic as she was. While she preferred older country, she had a soft spot for Rihanna—especially “Love on the Brain,” which she would play on repeat.

She was a great cook, though she appreciated simple comforts like chicken nuggets and tacos just as much. Monie never held back—she always spoke her mind. She was strong, resilient, and never let life’s circumstances bring her down.

Above all, Monie loved her family. Becoming a grandmother expanded her heart in ways she never imagined, and it grew even more with the arrival of her great-grandchildren. She cherished spending time with her loved ones and made sure they always knew how much they meant to her.

Monie is survived by her children Denise Madsen, Dana Johnson, and Chasity Johnson; sons-in-law Buster and Clarence; grandchildren Dennis, Brittany, Hailey, Brook, Sherman, Colby, and Zachary; siblings Donnie Clark, Dale Clark, Anita Anderson, Pam Buehler, and Lisa Manske; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her husband Dennis Johnson and her parents Dale and Shirley Clark.
