P. "Guido" Wayne Fletcher, 57, of Indianapolis, formerly of Manchester, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021.
Guido was born on May 27, 1963 in Manchester, KY to Ray and Ina (Pennington) Fletcher. He was a paramedic and a firefighter for 33 years. He served as an ambulance driver for Wishard with White River and Warren Townships. He was an IFD Paramedic, he was a Marion County Swat Team Medic, and he worked for Indianapolis Motor Speedway also as a Medic. Several times he won a Paramedic of the Year award. For over a decade he had the number 1 save rate in Marion county, his rate was 96%. Guido was an awesome person, he was funny and smart, and that's before you even get to talking about how caring and compassionate he was. His medical knowledge and situational intelligence were invaluable to his career.
Regardless of circumstance, Guido always did his best. He made sure his family, especially his kids, always knew how much he loved them, and he was very much a provider. He worked hard for his family, and made sure they were cared for. Guido loved the show Cops, but his guilty pleasure was HGTV. The Curb Appeal shows were his favorite, and they always inspired him to work on his own home, that always ended up as half-finished projects. he loved working on cars, including painting them, and he also enjoyed racing.
Guido is survived by his children Hannah Fletcher, Kameron Fletcher, and Amanda (Adam) Maynard; his brother Nick; his nephews Steven and Nicholas (Ciera); the mother of his children Amy Fletcher; 3 great-nephews; 3 grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.
Guido is preceded in passing by his son Kyle Fletcher; and his parents Ray and Ina Fletcher.
Funeral Services for Guido will be 3 PM, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 1 PM until the hour of Service.
