Oscar Alaniz, age 64, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 12, 1961, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, Oscar was the beloved son of Socorro and the late Enrique.
For more than thirty years, Oscar built and operated his construction business, Oscar’s Handyman Services. Through his work, he provided employment and support to many—family members, friends, and countless others who crossed his path. His service extended far beyond construction. Oscar was a quiet source of help, guidance, and generosity in every aspect of life. Many turned to him in times of need, and he offered assistance without expectation or recognition. For numerous individuals, Oscar played an important role in helping them begin their journey in Indiana.
Oscar will be lovingly remembered by his wife of thirty-one years, Alejandra; his sons, Moises and Kevin; his daughters, Josie and Allison; his grandson, Josiah; and his mother, Socorro.
He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Enrique.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Asamblea Apostolica de la Fe en Cristo Jesus, 1401 E. Pleasant Run Parkway South Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203 from 11am-1pm with service to begin at 1pm.
