Monte Franklin Keller, 78, passed away May 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Monte was born October 30, 1947, in Anderson, to the late, Loren Justice & Bertha Lenor (Perkins) Keller. He retired from Guide Lamp where he was a welder for many years.
He was a Ham radio operator, known by his call letters, K9DZD and a member of The Before Breakfast Club for Ham radio operators. When not spending time on hobbies, he doted on his family. His face lit up with joy and love when talking about his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would laugh as he fondly recounted memories and had immense pride in his family.
Monte is survived by his wife, Connie Keller; children, Annie Keller and Jason (Derrinda) Keller; grandchildren, Shyanne, Siouxzanna, J.T. Shayla, Banessa Haylei, Anjileta, & Carlos; great grandchildren, Landon, Malikye, Delilah, & Makayla; niece, Donnetta Johnson; and a host of close friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Coburn
