Mindy Lou Balay

Mindy Lou Balay, 46, was called home on Saturday, May 2, 2026, passing peacefully in her home.

She was born September 24, 1979, in Indianapolis.

Mindy is survived by her mother, Diana Gaines; sister, Tonya Hughes; children, Jeremy and Jennifer; her best friend, Theresa Small; many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephew; and her beloved four-legged fur baby, Baby Girl. She was preceded by her father, David Gaines; and her sister, Cindy Sue Balay.

She is treasured in the hearts of others and will be missed by many. Please remember her in your own way as Mindy had requested for cremation with no memorial services.
