Michael "Mike" Wayne Welch

Michael "Mike" Wayne Welch, a man known for his sharp wit, love of games, and unwavering dedication to family, departed from this world on August 21, 2023. He was born on February 15, 1952, in Indianapolis, IN, to Harold Welch and Mary (Beetchler) Phelps.

Mike was a pool aficionado, renowned for his exceptional skills that often caught others by surprise. With his brothers often acting as his partners in crime, they created memorable moments and shared many a laugh over a pool table. His love for hunting and fishing brought him closer to nature, and he cherished the tranquility of the great outdoors.

A notorious jokester, Mike had a fantastic sense of humor that could brighten even the gloomiest of days. He possessed a wealth of knowledge and was unapologetically stubborn when it came to his beliefs. Dining out was one of his favorite pastimes, and he always appreciated a good meal.

Mike had an unbreakable bond with his family. Together with his brother Gean, they were a mastermind duo, often spelling out trouble with their antics. However, this mischief was always infused with love, and they created a lifetime of cherished memories.

He is survived by his loving children, Jennifer & Mark Bow and Marry & Michael Biggers; his siblings Carolyn Roberts, Marilyn Morris, Marsha Felke, Danny Welch, David Welch, Barbara, and Becky; his best friend John Seacrest; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with another on the way.

Mike was preceded in passing by his parents, his son Michael Reagan, and his siblings Mark Welch, Dale Welch, Linda Anderson, Darlene Harrell, and Gean Welch.

A visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, with funeral services following at 1 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Join us as we gather to remember, honor, and celebrate the life of Michael "Mike" Wayne Welch.
