Michael "Mike" Moyer Metzger

Michael "Mike" Moyer Metzger, 59, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 30th, 2022 in the company of his daughter, Christina and cousin, Karen. 

Mike was born in Elgin, IL on March 7, 1963, to Phyllis and Gene Metzger.

Mike was a great guy with a kind heart. They say about life that you can either laugh or cry. Mike laughed. He brought you along with him. He loved to be the center of attention, the life of the party. He loved people and would share what he had with others. He was that guy that didn't have much, but would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need.

Mike didn't have the easiest life, but he tried to make the best of it. He worked as a painter. He was a part of a union of painters for KITE. He loved the water. In his free time, he loved to fish and to swim.

Mike is survived by his daughter Christina (Metzger) Denton, her husband James Denton, his grandchildren Angelina, William, Lilliani, Amyna and River; his son Jason Metzger, his grandchildren Arianna and Jeremy Metzger; his brother Gene Metzger, his brother Philip Metzger, his siblings Marvin and Karen Persinger, Kate Tabor and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mike is preceded in passing by his parents Phyllis and Gene Metzger, and his brother Rodney Metzger.
