Melinda “Mindy” Diane Hokey, 63, of Rushville, IN, passed away on April 10, 2021.

Mindy was born in Rushville, IN on January 27, 1958 to David and Marilyn (Boggs) Hood. She married Robert M. Hokey on March 3, 1977 and they were blessed with two sons. After earning her Bachelors in Nursing, Mindy worked as a nurse for many years before retiring.

Mindy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Hokey; her sons William Hokey of Clarksville, IN and Bradley Hokey of Jeffersonville, IN; her brothers Scott Hood and Gary Hood, both of Rushville, IN; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Mindy is preceded in passing by her parents David and Marilyn Hood and her sister Teresa (Hood) Billings.

Per Mindy’s request there will not be any services. Friends and family are invited to use her facebook page as a place to post pictures, share memories, and keep her spirit alive.
