Marcella Rose Dillon, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 1, 2025.
Marcella was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 1, 1942, to Howard and Katie Duvall. She worked for many years at Induswell, where she met the love of her life, Junior Dillon.
Marcella was the planner of the family—she knew exactly where everything was, even if no one else did. She was the definition of organized chaos.
She loved animals and was a truly kind, sweet, and loving soul. Marcella adored being a grandmother. She often took her granddaughters on girls’ weekends full of fun activities and memory-making. She and Junior loved staying home or going to the VFW, preferring peaceful, quality time together.
She will be greatly missed.
Marcella is survived by her husband of 40 years, Junior Dillon; her son Joseph Dillon and his wife Jenny; grandchildren Cassandra Dillon, TJ Frankenberger II, Daniel Nichols, and Christopher Nichols; great-grandchildren Zoey, Xavier, Colt, Cloe, Sophie, and Seth; siblings Michael Duvall, Barbara Ann Honea, and Patty Hobbs; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Marcella is preceded in passing by her parents, Howard and Katie Duvall; her son Robert Murphy; her granddaughter Becky Dillon; eight of her siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Marcella will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of service.
