Luther "Luke" York

Luther "Luke" York, 40, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2020.

Luke was born in Indianapolis, IN on August 16, 1979 to Danny York and Anita (Oskins) Bewley.  Luke could light up a room.  He was the clown of the family and he was always joking around and telling stories.  He was a very involved story teller, he needed to stand up and make gestures, and after every story was another one.  Regardless of the truth, his stories were always entertaining.  

Luke loved singing and dancing, even if his talents were elsewhere.  His favorite music was rock, but he enjoyed most genres.  He loved  his family and being with them.  Luke and his mom were especially close, and he would drop anything to help her.  

Luke is survived by his son Nick Adimare-York and his Fiance Tori; his granddaughter Nevaeh Lynn; his other children Devin and Kaylee Dodson; his mother Anita Bewley; his siblings Jessica York, Jimmy Bayne; Megan Bayne; Kara Moore; and Krista Oskins; his nieces and nephews Kelsey York, Cheyenne York, and Corey York; his Uncle Kevin; and his great-niece Camyrah Gilbert.

Luke is preceded in passing by his father Danny York.

Funeral Services for Luke will be 7 PM, Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of service.
