Louiese Taylor, 74, of Indianapolis, formerly of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away on November 14, 2021.
Louiese was born in Tomkinsville, KY on September 14, 1947 to Willie Plumley and Ellen (Hines) McGlothlin. She worked hard her whole life to provide for her family. Louiese was fiesty and a straight shooter, you always knew how she felt and what she thought. She had a soft spot for animals and loved hummingbirds. She also fed the neighborhood squirrels. She was a poker shark and would take you for all you were worth if she had the chance. Louiese was a coffee addict and enjoyed going yard selling. She was a wonderful cook and if you left her house hungry you had no one to blame but yourself. Family was very important to her, especially her grandkids. She taught them everything from cooking to crochetting to all about flowers to shooting dice and playing cards. Louiese loved deeply, but she would also be the first one to smack you upside the head if you stepped out of line. But even when she had to be hard, you knew she loved you and that she cared.
Louiese is survived by her children Ellen Bennett, Diana Watson, glenn Taylor, and Sherrie Taylor; her grandchildren Jessica, Christopher, Michael, Dakota, Kenneth, Johnathon, Anastazia, Jason, and Eric; great-grandchildren Paige, Brendon, Layla, Hannah, Hope, Makenzia, Makayla, Maverick, and Ellis; her sister Christine; and several nieces and nephews.
Louiese is preceded in passing by her mother Ellen McGlothlin; her father Willie Plumley; Daughter Carmella Taylor; great-grandson James; and sisters Arlene and Pauline.
Services for Louiese will be 7 PM, Monday, November 29, 2021 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4 PM until the hour of service.
