Lori Ann Cox, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018.
Lori was born on January 15, 1965, in Indianapolis, IN, to Charles and Joanna (Swallows) Miller. Lori loved her big hair, but her personality was even bigger. She liked to talk and was good at it, with the ability to chat up anyone. She loved to cook, claiming she made a world-famous blueberry cobbler no one ever seemed to have tasted, while her children maintain her fried chicken was always the star of her recipe repertoire. She liked shopping and went every chance she could, to add to her ever-growing ring collection. She wasn't all sugar and spice, she also loved fishing and being outside, not minding getting dirty now and then. Most of all, she loved her family. Her children were her everything and she enjoyed taking care of them, and then later on her grandchildren. Being Nana was a badge of honor.
Lori is survived by her longtime boyfriend Dave McCall; her children Jessica Cox, and Daniel (Lindsay Low) Cox; her stepchildren, Jamie (Steve) Chism, Jennifer (Mike) Deal, Samual Cox, her grandchildren, AJ, Zackary, Caitlyn, Emma, Michael, Brooklyn, Abigail, Aluxandria, David, and Devon; her father, Charles Miller; and her sister Tina (Max) Day.
Lori is preceded in passing by her mother, Joanna Miller; and her brother Jeff Miller.
Services for Lori will be 5 PM, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of services.
