Lonnie James Burroughs

Lonnie James Burroughs Jr., 56, of Edinburg, Indiana, passed away on August 26, 2025.

Lonnie was a beloved father, son, and brother whose kindness, hard work, and love of the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him. He is survived by his three children, Kurtis Pickhardt, Kalista Pickhardt, and Kolby Burroughs. He also leaves behind his siblings, Michelle (Mitch) Schultz, Sarah (Trent) Lustig, and Andrew Burroughs.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nena Boblett, and his father, Lonnie James Burroughs Sr.

Lonnie was a proud member of the Carpenters Union, where he dedicated his skills and strong work ethic to his trade. Outside of work, he found joy in biking, snorkeling, fishing, and spending time in nature. These passions reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

He will be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh, and for the many memories he created with those he cherished most.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
