Lilly Gertrude Burcham

Lilly Burcham, 62, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 3, 2023.

Born on January 8, 1961, to William and Barbara (Woods) Scott, Lilly was a beacon of light in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. With her fun-loving and outgoing nature, she effortlessly brought smiles to the faces of everyone she encountered. Her cheerful spirit and infectious laughter were magnetic, making her the life of every party and gathering.

Lilly's remarkable gift of connecting with people allowed her to be the glue that held her family together. She cherished the bonds she shared with her loved ones and found immense joy in spending time with them. Being a grandmother was a role she embraced with pure delight, creating lasting memories and leaving a lasting mark on the lives of her grandchildren.

Lilly was never one to shy away from sharing her opinion. She possessed a unique authenticity and fearlessness that endeared her to many. Her straightforward nature and candid conversations were always accompanied by a genuine warmth and love for those she cared about.

A few of Lilly's greatest pleasures in life were the simple joys of coffee, bingo, Pepsi, and shopping. She found solace and contentment in savoring a cup of coffee, relished the thrill of shouting "Bingo!" and the excitement that accompanied it, found comfort in the familiar taste of Pepsi, and experienced sheer delight in the art of shopping.

As we bid farewell to Lilly, we hold close the cherished memories of her infectious joy, her unwavering love for family, and her vibrant personality. The void left by her absence is immense, but we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will forever live on in our hearts and the memories we hold dear.

Lilly is survived by her children Richard, Scott, Jeremy, Kenneth, Jazmen, and Abby; her siblings William, Joey, Charlie, Debbie (Roger), and Kim; 11 granddaughters, 6 grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.

Lilly is preceded in passing by her husband Kenneth Burcham and her parents William and Barbara Scott.

Services for Lilly will be 6 PM, Friday, June 9, 2023 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the hour of service.
