Leander Church

Leander Church, 57, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2025, as the result of an accident. Born on November 16, 1968, he was the son of the late parents John Joe Church and Loretta Ann Church (Corson).

Leander was a devoted father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his son, James L. Church; daughter, Amy I. Lee; and one cherished granddaughter. He also leaves behind his beloved sisters: Mildred Church, Mandy Harris, Mona Church, Elizabeth “Rosie” Pearson, and Lou Ann Hawkins.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Church; daughter, Ashley Imhausen Church; and his brother, John Joe Church Jr.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Fountain Square Cremation and Funeral Services, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.

Leander’s memory will live on through those who knew and loved him.
