Kimberly Sue Saunders

Kimberly Sue Saunders, 54, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 18, 2023.

Kimberly was born on November 17, 1968 in Indianapolis, IN to Paul and Linda (Butler) Saunders. Kimberly's number one love in her life was her grandchildren.  She lived for her grandbabies,  Whether it was spending time with them, taking selfies with them, or out to eat and everything in between, she loved them with all her heart.  Kimberly's second love was fishing, nothing relaxed her more than going out, relaxing, and catching fish.  She was good at it to. Kimberly's third love was cooking; she was a phenomenal cook with the ability to make foods that normally weren't good, everyone's favorite.  Cooking was her passion and her love language, she loved cooking for those she cared about.  No matter the cuisine or if it was baking or what, Kimberly had mastered it and the results were always amazing.  Her favorite holiday was naturally Thanksgiving, where she could go all out and make everything from scratch. 

Kimberly was the Matriarch of the family and always the center of attention.  She was the Selfie Queen.  She also enjoyed listening to music, rock and country, with AC/DC being her favorite band.  She liked gambling and had recently started planting flowers, especially daisies, her favorite.  While gone too soon, Kimberly left no doubt behind her that she loved her family as fiercely as possible, and they meant everything to her.

Kimberly is survived by her children Michael Saunders, Ronnie Hornsby, and Nick Hornsby; her grandchildren Haley, Bailey, Kaylie, RaeLynn, Gracelynn, Trinity, and Paige; great-grandchild Kairi; siblings Paul Suanders, Linda Saunders, and Paula Morales; and nieces and nephews Cody, Casy, Tommy, Chris, Dylan, and Dakota.

Kimberly is preceded in passing by her parents Paul and Linda Saunders.

Services for Kimberly will be 7 PM, Monday, April 24, 2023 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 3 PM until the hour of service.
