Kevin Thomas Knight I

Kevin Thomas Knight I, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 10, 2024. Born on November 8, 1971, to Larry Gene and Martha Jean (Strong) Knight, Kevin’s love for music defined much of his life. His taste spanned from Johnny Cash to Paula Abdul to hip hop to everything in between, and he always had his phone blasting music wherever he went. A talented guitarist, Kevin was also known for his incredible knowledge of music trivia—if you had a question, Kevin always had the answer.

Kevin also had a deep love for the Colts, trying to catch as many games as he could. He shared his life with Bella, his beloved chihuahua, whom was pampered more than any other dog in existence. Kevin was also known for his mischievous habit of 'stealing' family photos from Facebook, much to the chagrin of his loved ones.

A true people person, Kevin was articulate, intelligent, and deeply caring. Despite his personal battles, he always strove to be better, especially after becoming a grandfather. His grandchildren—Brayden, Ella, Lillian, and Rhett—were the light of his life, and he took great pride in being their grandpa.

Kevin is survived by his children, Courtney (Elisha) and Kevin (Cierra) II; his grandchildren, Brayden, Ella, Lillian, and Rhett; his fiancée Cathy; his siblings, Christy (Millard) and Lori (EB); his nephew John Roberts; his nieces Jamie and Emily; and his cherished dog, Bella.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, Larry and Martha, and his nephews Joshua and Jeremy.

A private memorial will be held at the family’s convenience.
