Kathleen "Kathy" Ann Bass

Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Bass, 69, of Greenfield, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on November 6, 2024.

Kathy was born on October 19, 1955, in Indianapolis, IN, to Carl and Norma Jean (Hallam) Summers. Known for her kind heart, Kathy never met a stranger, offering friendship and warmth to everyone she encountered. She was a deeply caring person, devoted to her family and neighbors alike. Thoughtful in all the small ways that mattered, she sent her son a nightly “I love you, goodnight” text, a reminder of her constant love. Kathy adored Elvis Presley—both his music and his movies—and found joy in his work.

A woman of faith, Kathy had accepted Christ into her heart, and while her absence is deeply felt, there is comfort in knowing she is in the loving arms of her Creator, reunited with family members who went before her.

Kathy is survived by her son, Richard Tucker, and his wife, Natalie; her grandchildren, Ariel, Noah, CC, Dean, Jordan, and Trinity; her great-granddaughter, Melaina; her sister, Tammy O’Brien; her brother, Larry Summers; her best friend, Megan Brykett; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in passing by her parents, Carl and Norma Summers; her husband, Joe Bass; and her sister, Susie Summers.
